Kirsten Macdonald trained in Auckland, mastering piano tuning and repair, and completed the Acoustics for Musicians paper at Auckland University. She is a violin player and enjoys outdoor activities. Andrew Macdonald began his career with Michael Ashby in Wellington, later completing formal apprenticeship in Auckland and earning membership in the NZ Piano Tuners and Technicians Guild (PTTG NZ) and Australasian Registered Piano Technician (ARPT) status. Both bring extensive expertise in piano restoration, servicing, and technical care.
