I was trained at the Welsh School of Musical Instrument Making and Repair, obtaining the City and Guilds of London certificate in piano tuning and repair, and a college diploma in Piano Tuning, Repair and Restoration. I then worked for Robert Morley & Co Ltd in London for 10 years, in piano tuning and restoration, majoring in Piano regulation, action overhauls, and re-stringing on both upright and grand pianos. Since 2000 I have been living and working in Birmingham as a self employed piano tuner technician. I have experience tuning upright and grand pianos in homes, schools/colleges, studios, theatres and other entertainment venues. I have also carried out a wide range of piano restoration work including action overhauls, replacing of hammers, dampers & strings, and soundboard and bridge repairs.
