The name of Heppell has been synonymous with the North East piano industry since 1911, with three generations tuning and repairing the pianos of north east residents. Jack Heppell became an apprentice to Alderson & Brentnall before founding his own business in 1929, which was taken over by his son John Clifford Heppell in 1945. Lawrence Heppell became the latest member of the family to follow in his elder’s footsteps in 1982, maintaining the integrity and quality of workmanship to this day.
