Steve Droy has been a professional concert piano tuner for over 30 years; having decided to follow in his father’s footsteps. Originally based in North London, he moved to Mumbai, India in 2012 to set up the Furtados Institute of Piano Technology. On returning to the UK he founded The Piano Technology School in 2015, now based in Rugby, which is the leading UK training provider for anyone wanting to train to be a professional piano tuner/technician. He has trained with Steinway in Hamburg, worked freelance for Steinway in London, and became an Registered Piano Technician of the Piano Technicians Guild in 2023.
