Richmond Piano Tuner

My interest in the technical aspects of the piano started when I was working on my Master Degree in piano performance. Fellow classmates told me that pianists never know the technical aspects of their instruments and I was ashamed to not be able to replace a string or tune an errant pitch. Once I learned a little about the craftsmanship that is involved, I wanted to know much more and my interest led me to enter the field. Since then, I had divided my time between teaching and developing my skills as a technician. After three years of being an intern at Northwestern University, I felt that I have a sturdy foundation. After my internship, I had been working as a piano technician in Kawai and Fazioli piano dealers in Chicago and Toronto.
