A lifelong piano enthusiast, Sid Siff began his career inspired by his family's piano tuner, Mr. Cloutier. After purchasing a 1912 Henry F. Miller upright piano, he learned repair techniques from a Boston technician and later completed a Piano Tuning and Repair course at UMass Amherst. He spent 31 years as head piano technician for Hampshire College Music Department and continues serving local music schools, teachers, and private patrons. His passion for blending art and machinery to enhance pianos' performance remains central to his work.
