Tuning a piano may sound like a very simple task, but in reality it is quite a feat. Each piano has approximately 230 strings with about 200 lbs of tension on each string. Each string is wrapped around a pin which can be turned to tighten or loosen the individual string. It is understandable from common knowledge that tighter the string, higher the note! There is no fixed way to tune a particular piano. The best possible frequency of one piano will most definitely be different from another piano. So tuning is more dependent on the trained ears of a musician than a to-do book which teaches you how to tune a piano.
