Nittany Piano Service

Kelly Purdy is a Registered Piano Technician and the owner of Nittany Piano Service. She's played the piano since her elementary years and was first introduced to the technical side of the instrument when undertaking a piano restoration project in high school. She has a BA in Music and BS in Mathematics from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania. After working a variety of jobs post-graduation, she applied to North Bennet Street School in Boston, MA to pursue piano technology. While completing both the Basic and Advanced Piano Technology programs at NBSS, she passed a series of rigorous exams to become a Registered Piano Technician with the Piano Technicians Guild. She's had the opportunity to care for pianos at Tanglewood Music Festival, in Boston University practice rooms, in Boston Public School classrooms, and in private clients' homes. She's excited to see where piano work takes her next! When not in front of a piano she enjoys going on long backpacking trips, helping friends with home renovation projects, and serving in her church.
