Grew up in Memphis, TN in the 1950s-60s, started piano lessons at age five, played percussion in high school, joined Memphis Youth Symphony Orchestra on tympani, studied Music Performance at Memphis State University, dropped out to teach drums at Berklee College of Music, toured with jazz groups in Germany, married in 1972, moved to Charlotte in 1983, completed 'Tuning and Repairing Old Uprights' course, became Registered Piano Technician, mentored by Eugenia Carter, took over CSO tuner/tech role after her passing, transitioned from drumming to piano tech, resigned from CSO in 2015 to focus on home and church clients.
