Established in 1951 by Ralph Barrus after graduating from the School of Piano Technology at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, Barrus Pianos has grown into Utah’s most trusted name in piano services. Ralph built the business by establishing expertise in piano tuning, repair, and rebuilding, expanding to piano sales and rentals in the early 1960s with Yamaha pianos. His son John later expanded the moving division in 1978, shaping the company into a trusted name for piano services across Salt Lake Valley.
